"This is (Callsign) and it's 9:00 p.m., time for the Sunday evening net on the K4SEX 145.13 repeater, courtesy of the Bill Gremillion Memorial Radio Club in Newnan, Georgia.
"The purpose of this net is to encourage use of the repeater, to hear and talk about matters of interest to the local ham community, and maybe hear callsigns we haven't heard in the past week.
"Due to reduced activity on this net, it is no longer a formal, directed net. Feel free to check in at any time; I will monitor the repeater for a minimum of fifteen minutes."
(Give your callsign again, and make any announcements that you have for the net. Ask for questions/comments after each announcement).
(Recognize other stations with announcements, etc. for the net. Rag-chew a bit with anyone who checks in.)
(If there is no activity for three to five minutes, announce as follows:)
"This is (Callsign), the BGMRC Sunday evening net is still open if anyone would like to participate."
(At or after 9:15 p.m. if there is no further activity, announce:)
"This is (Callsign) closing this session of the BGMRC Sunday evening net at 21xx hours local time, and returning the repeater to normal amateur use. Thank you all for taking part. We had _____ participants."
